Western Port Festival
The Western Port Festival is one of the Mornington Peninsula’s major annual events, bringing thousands of people to the Hastings foreshore each February.
The festival had the entertainment and events, but lacked a professional brand. The project originally started in 2010 with a logo and stationery update, and evolved into designing a sponsorship pack, digital presentation and website.
From then on, we’ve designed the visual theme for each year, and incorporated the theme into posters, programs, invitations and car signage. Ongoing design support has also seen the implementation of a site map, social media use and website management.
In 2014, the festival went through a major rebrand to acknowledge its almost 50-year history. The new logo and branding is reminiscent of the original “Hastings Day”, which has been a trip down memory lane for many people in the community.
The new branding has improved festival identification and a connection with the past while also raising interest in sponsorship and the event as a whole.
